Frequently asked questions

If you have a question, email me at [email protected]

The everyday changes are too small to write a whole blog post about it. Your users may not follow your blog or social media account(s).

Add a small widget on your website to keep your users engaged and appreciated your diligent work.

It will take about 5 minutes to set up your account and the public changelog page. Adding a widget and a custom domain may take some time. You'll get all the help you need from our documentation as well as email support.

A post is an item that you send to Updote. It may be a small note or a full blog post with images. You can choose to share it with your team or users.

A team member is a user of the account.
For example, @Google invites 2 team members, @Larry and @Sergey. @Google account now has 3 team members.

Billing is per account. While @Google is on the premium plan, @Larry and @Sergey accounts can be on the free plan.

An end user is a person that follows, posts, votes, and comments on your account. You can bring your users from your web app.

SSO is Single Sign-On. For example, users from FastCron don't need to log in again on the @FastCron changelog page.

Apart from the team member limit, we don't enforce other limits (end users, file storage) at the moment.

We use LemonSqueezy to process payments. They support PayPal and credit/debit cards. We also accept payments via Binance.

Yes, you can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription anytime in the dashboard. If you encounter any problems, email [email protected] and we'll help.

About me

Me

Hi, I'm Nguyen An Thuan, a website developer. I've been running FastCron (formerly SetCronJob) since 2009.

I believe that the best place to engage my website users is not Twitter, Facebook, Discord, or any communication platforms.
It's on my website, where my users are logged in and ready to engage.

I build Updote to keep my users in the loop about small changes and updates, right on the website.
